Midfielder Marveaux is on a season-long loan at Guingamp after showing very little in a Newcastle shirt.
Marveaux, signed on a free transfer from Stade Rennais in the summer of 2011, but has failed to impress, and it was no surprise to see the 29-year-old loaned out last July.
Marveaux was caught on camera after Guingamp’s 6-0 Ligue 1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain talking to Yohan Cabaye, his former United team-mate.
He appeared to tell the PSG midfielder: “I miss Newcastle.
“It was good, but you know I was blacklisted.”
Head coach Carver: “He had the same chance as everyone else this pre-season.
“Obertan in pre-season was on fire because he pushed his head above the water and kicked on.
“If it wasn’t for that injury which set him back. He took his opportunity in pre-season.”
