There are religious players in the squad, and Alan Pardew says the Newcastle board are conscious of the important role religion plays in their lives.
Alan Pardew: “It’s something I’ve discussed with (club secretary) Lee Charnley, as I think it’s important.
“We look after the players here, and their religious backgrounds.
“Even at the stadium, it’s not ideal. It’s something we’re looking at.
“Religion plays a very important role in some of our players. You have to respect that.
“We need different facilities for them.”
