And the same will happen if he ever returns to St James' Park, because many of the Geordies CANNOT STAND THE MAN!

Adam Gradwell: "I can tell you why fans never like Michael Owen.
"transfer window a couple seasons ago. I got off the train at Central Station and decided to take a walk up to St James'' to see if I could see any activity.
"Under the Milburn stand were a bunch 10 - 12 year olds clutching autograph books. I pointed out that Faye was in the Milburn reception and the kids ran in to get his autograph (even though he hadnt signed his contract yet).
"Parked outside the players entrance was a Jaguar with an older guy sitting at the wheel. I asked the kids who it was and they told me it was Michael Owens dad.
"A couple of minutes later Micheal Owen came out of the Milburn reception and headed towards the Jaguar.
"He walked past me to my left and the kids ran up to get his autograph.
"He didnt even acknowledge they were there. He opened the car door and ushered the kids out the way so he could close the door.
"He slammed the door shut and the car pulled away. the kids were devastated. I was devastated for the kids. What an arrogant, horrible "man"."
