Rafael Benitez says he is loving the rivalry between Newcastle strikers Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dwight Gayle.
The table-topping Magpies boast probably the strongest squad in the Championship and nowhere are their riches in better evidence than up front.
The pair cost around £23million in transfer fees and have plenty of pedigree but are currently playing for just one central spot.
Gayle has been first choice so far, and leads the way with 11 goals, but when Mitrovic stood in for back-to-back games against Preston the Serb scored four times.
Cardiff are next up at St James’ Park on Saturday and Benitez has both forwards fit and ready.
“I am really pleased to have two players scoring goals. The competition is really good for the team and us,” said Benitez.
“Mitro has been very good in these two games, hopefully he can continue scoring goals and Gayle too is a worker, Gayle is the same. As a manager you have to be really pleased.
“When you have one player scoring goals it is good, when you have two it is great.”
