Former Newcastle United coach Mick Wadsworth could be eyeing moves for a number of other young Magpies, as Alan Pardew is set to release a number of fringe players in the summer.
He already has Donaldson at Victoria Park on a loan spell that runs from January until the end of the season, when the 20-year-old's United contract runs out.
