Mort Still Desperate To Clear Up Keegan Position!
"It is disappointing but it will come. Kevin has got the players playing very well and I am sure the results will follow.
"He has come to a club that didn't change its manager in the middle of the season because things were going well. It wasn't going well and the team were playing poorly.
"Results reflected that and Kevin came in knowing it was going to be difficult to turn it round.
"That's what he's working on and he's got the team playing in a manner everyone in this part of the world appreciates.
"There is no doubt or worry. Kevin is enjoying being back in Newcastle.
"He is clearly at home in the city and has been made very welcome. Once the football turns round I am sure he will be thoroughly enjoying it.
"When we interviewed Kevin for the manager's position we said we wanted a particular structure in place with someone experienced working with the board, particularly on recruitment and developing the Academy.
"At that time we had narrowed it down to two or three names and we gave those names to Kevin."
