Construction will being on a 20-seater box and five 10-person rooms immediately as the club bids to complete the work in time for the clash with Manchester United on October 7.
Category A matches are priced at £4,000 while a box for the rest of the season comes in at £25,000.
Club chiefs are already working to fill the new boxes and they’re hoping one of their first clients will include Tyneside TV stars Ant and Dec.
Sharon Fletcher, head of corporate sales: “The six new boxes are going to be built in time for the game with Manchester United. One of my colleagues has already sold one of the boxes for the season and we’re taking inquiries all the time.
“I’m trying my best to sell one to Ant and Dec so they can come and watch the game with Manchester. It’s an excellent way to watch the game – if you’ve got clients you’ve got your own captive audience.
“We’ve not built boxes since the 1999/2000 season.
“It’s fantastic news the club have decided to build the new Leazes Boxes, the designs and specifications look absolutely fantastic."
