New Face Wants To Keep Keegan Interested!
The Geordie boy revealed his delight after making his first-team bow for Newcastle United against Real Mallorca.
Donaldson: "It was really good. I was hoping to come on, but I did not really expect to.
"The manager told me to get on and I was really excited.
"The conditions were difficult - after my first sprint after I came on I was dripping wet with sweat.
"It was hard but great to play against a La Liga team - a great experience.
"They were a really good team, they passed the ball well and kept their shape well.
"For me, though, that is the sort of experience you want.
"I hope to get more chances in pre-season.
"This trip has been great for team morale and Oba came out as well.
"Jonas Gutierrez has been here too and is settling in well. Everybody has got to know each other, which is important.
"I want to get near to the first team and I will keep working hard in the reserves. If I do that, maybe the manager will give me a shout."
