Rafa Benitez's side face a gruelling 46-game campaign in English football's second tier after last season's relegation.
Newcastle kicked off with a televised game away to Fulham on Friday, August 5.
The first home game is a fixture against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, August 13.
United are away to Burton Albion on December 17.
Newcastle are at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day, and the final game of the season is a home game against Barnsley on May 7.
The dates and times are subject to change, with Sky Sports set to broadcast live a large number of the club's fixtures.
United last played in the Championship in 2009-10, when the club, then managed by Chris Hughton, won the league by a comfortable 11-point margin.
