Like team-mate Michael Chopra, he always looked a class act in the Reserve side, where he made 25 appearances last season, but struggled to make a mark in the first-team with so many international players ahead of him in the pecking order.
He made his way through the ranks, from Youth team through to the top of the tree, but only managed one start for Newcastle United, with seven substitute appearances.
But we are sure there will be a host of clubs after his services, and we wish him the very best.
