I remember our first season in the Premier League 1993/4, twenty years ago, and the entire Newcastle United team was ENGLISH.
Kevin Keegan put together this squad - everyone of them English. Six England internationals (Venison, Howey, Lee, Bracewell, Beardsley, Cole) in that team with three others called into England squads (Clark, Beresford, Fox):-

Subs: Scott Sellars (Sheffield), Robbie Elliott (Gosforth), Kevin Scott (Easington).
That season we finished 3rd behind Man Utd and Blackburn Rovers.
