Alan Pardew: "It is very important for the club that we set a marker down for next year.
"Obviously we are going to bring in one or two players and I think we can get stronger from this point.
"It is important to keep the owner, the club, everything going forward, and a good feeling at the football club. We have got that at the moment.
"I think the fans know that this team is not filled with big names.
"But it has been resilient, has shown character when it has needed to, and more importantly it has won."
