Newcastle's internationals have been afforded some additional time off.
Six United players have spent part of the summer representing their respective countries in various international tournaments, and they have been given additional time off.
While Miguel Almiron is on an extended break following his impressive exploits for Paraguay at the Copa America, Fabian Schar is yet to return after featuring in the UEFA Nations League for Switzerland, while Freddie Woodman and Martin Dubravka were away with the England Under-21s and Slovakia respectively earlier this summer.
What's more, Christian Atsu also represented Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), but he is due back on Tyneside in the coming days for further assessment on a hamstring injury which ended his involvement with Ghana in Egypt prematurely.
Forgotten midfielder Henri Saivet, meanwhile, is still out at the AFCON representing Senegal, so he will not be back on Tyneside for some time yet.
