No Goals? "I Expected It" Says Souness

 

"It was not totally unexpected," he said, when reflecting on Saturday's disappointing draw. "If you look at our team we had one recognised goal-scorer at this level. West Ham defended well and held on. On another day we would have had a wee bit more luck, but sometimes it is more difficult to play against 10 men.

"I know what we need and I'm praying we can make it happen. There is a lot right with our team but we are missing door openers, people that can make the difference when teams are sitting in like that.

"We're going to try and bring in people who can create things for us and get goals."
