The curse of the former player strikes again ... and Dan Gosling just about did a lap of the ground in celebration.
If there’s one player you would have predicted would score for Bournemouth before the game, it would probably have been either Jermain Defoe or Gosling.
And the ex-Newcastle midfielder duly delivered a late suckerpunch to rob us of two points.
Gosling was a threat throughout, arriving late in the Newcastle box and testing Dubravka during the first half, as well as putting a couple of chances wide too.
But, while many players wouldn’t celebrate against their former teams, Gosling endured an injury-ravaged spell on Tyneside - and his goal meant far too much to his own side than any emotion for Newcastle.
