Newcastle United are keeping close tabs on Ajax midfielder Siem de Jong.
The Sunday People is reporting that Newcastle are considering a summer bid for the £12 million rated footballer, whose younger brother Luuk is currently on loan at St James’ Park.
Luuk is valued at £8m and his loan spell has been a nightmare on Tyneside, and it goes without saying, United will NOT be taking up their option to buy him.
Siem de Jong came through the youth ranks at Ajax and he has long ago established himself as a key player at Amsterdam ArenA.
The attacking midfielder has scored staggering 57 goals in 167 Eredivisie outings, but he has only earned 6 Netherlands caps up to date.
