Newcastle sit in 10th going into the game against Stoke this weekend thanks to their win at Swansea.
However, Nobby Solano says the team is not creating chances, and that is a concern.
Solano reflected: “If you followed the game closely you will see that Newcastle did not create many chances at Swansea, the goal also came from a set-piece.
“So they have got room for improvement.
“But Newcastle needed to get a win like that, a hard fought three points away from home against a tough team like Swansea.
“They are a team that are trying to survive in the Premier League so to go there and get that result was great.
“Now I hope that Newcastle can carry that confidence on to the next game.
“They know they will have to be a little better against Stoke.
“They will have to play more football and pass it around a bit.
“The team was cautious at Swansea and sat back.
“I know why Rafa went that way because when you fear you don’t have enough quality you want to be safe.
“They won because they defended well and then got a great header from the captain Lascelles to win the game.
“The only other real chance was from Joselu who forced a great save from Fabianski.
“In general we haven’t seen Newcastle create too much.
“That’s why Stoke is a big test for them this year because they will feel they can achieve top 10.
“This makes it a big one for the lads because if they get a win they will get plenty of credit.”
