If N'Zogbia does put pen to paper, he could be playing alongside the player Newcastle fans LOVED to hate!
Former Mackem Kevin Phillips revealed he had no decision to make when Birmingham manager Alex McLeish yesterday offered him a 12-month extension to his contract at St Andrew's.
The 36-year-old striker had attracted interest from Middlesbrough (and other clubs) but once McLeish offered him a new deal he says he "jumped at the chance".
Phillips, who joined Blues in the summer of 2008 from West Brom, is extending a career which has also taken in stints with Watford, Sunderland, Southampton and Aston Villa.
