Words the Toon Army didn't agree with, and the same with the Newcastle players!
Gael Bigirimana says he’ll come back stronger for his ‘frustrating’ season-long exile at Newcastle United, as he has missed the European adventure more than most.
The midfielder has made just one first-team appearance this season, but he was heavily involved in United's European campaign last term.
Bigirimana: “I’m not going to lie – it’s been frustrating.
“I’d rather be with the first team, but I’m here to help the club in any way.
“If that is to be with the reserves and work with the young players that the club is trying to promote, that’s fine by me.
"Last season I made 25 appearances and scored one goal and I hoped to establish myself this term.
"But I've only played against Morecambe in the Capital One Cup tie early in the season.
"Last season we had the Europa League and I was involved in that, but this season we don't have European games.
“It would be nice to play in the Premier League, but it’s up to the manager."
