Despite Wilfried Bony’s exit to Manchester City and the chance for more game time at the Liberty Stadium it is thought the striker is unhappy and wants to leave.
A report in France via Foot Mercato claimed that part of Gomis’ entourage had said: “The transfer window lasts until 2 February.
“For now, Bafé remains calm and stay focused on the field and his club Swansea.
“His position has not changed since the start of the Bony, he still wants to leave.
“Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund came to us for information as have Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Arsenal.
“But these are only approaches, there is nothing concrete.”
Toon sources have denied that there has been any type of approach for a player they have previously tracked.
The Magpies turned down the chance to sign him on a Bosman free transfer last summer and will not be paying a fee in the January window.
