Gutierrez was loaned to relegation-threatened Norwich City until the end of the season after falling out of favour with Alan Pardew.
In a series of tweets on social networking site Twitter, Gutierrez thanked United’s fans for the good luck messages he has had since heading to Carrow Road, where he was reunited with former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton.
Gutierrez tweeted: “I have to say since i left newcastle i read a lot of message from The fans supporting me.
“The Only words i can say is thank you for all.
“Life like football is a wheel so change to quick maybe next year i am back but anyway thanks for all you support, i try my best in Norwich now to help The team to stay in The premiere (sic) league.
“If life decided that i dont go back you r going to be always in my heart, once a geordie always a geordie.”
I promise you one thing ... if Pardew goes before next season ... Gutierrez will be back in a shot!
