Owen admitted: "It's time for me to start playing more games. I had two dead legs and a tight hamstring and have only started five games.

"It is difficult even if you are out for only a week or 10 days. I was awful in the first half. My touch wasn't right but in the second half it started to come together a bit better."

Owen admitted: "We've had three wins in a week and it's just what we needed. When I joined the club, it was only one point in five games and there were plenty of long faces.

"But in general we have started doing alright over the last couple of months."
