Owen For England? You CANNOT Be Serious!

Three times Newcastle United have had to suffer because Owen has come back from international duty with a long-term injury ... sustained because the striker was rushed into games for England he obviously was not fit for!

The Italian is due to announce his squad on Sunday evening for the trips to face Andorra and - crucially - Croatia at the start of next month, and Owen looks sure to be included.

Having scored against Bolton last Saturday, and Coventry on Tuesday, Capello decides who will be his strikers for the Andorra and Croatia games and the Toon No 9 looks odds-on.

None of England's strikers - including Wayne Rooney - were particularly impressive against the Czech Republic last Wednesday and if anything Peter Crouch was even worse as Capello watched Portsmouth slip to defeat against Manchester United at Fratton Park on Monday night.

Capello will be at the Emirates Stadium at the weekend to watch him in action.
