Owen Interest Confirmed

The Magpies are said to be one of two clubs interested in bringing the England striker back home and Chairman Freddy Shepherd has revealed that the club have enquired about Owen.

"We have had a discussion with Madrid but won't be commenting further on any speculation," he said.
