Alan Pardew: “I am just proud of the group.
“The 10 days we had out – you could see we have got ourselves back together.
“The difference – and why we won – was because our commitment was 10/10.
“You couldn’t argue that against any player.
“They might have been a bit nervous and edgy on the ball.
“But you still have to put that commitment in and we did.
“Even though we might not win at Hull, I expect us to be a whole lot better – technically – than we were.
“We were making mistakes and giving the ball away.
“We were a bit nervous which is understandable after Tottenham, but we will be better at Hull. And we can build on this now.
“The way we need to build is to finish strong.
“We go into the summer and although we haven’t spent much in the last 18 months we have a decent little kitty there.
“We have to make good use of it.
“If we make good use of it we can come back stronger next year.”
