The Magpies have now won just three games out of 16 in all competitions and failed to score in 360 minutes of Premier League football.
Pardew refused to take a question from the Chronicle in his post-game press conference on a day when the fans displayed banners calling for him to go and chanted “Pardew out”.
Alan Pardew: “Four defeats for Newcastle is going to bring its own pressure.
“I don’t think the local press have helped.
“Yeah of course.
“Four defeats as a Newcastle manager, we have 10 senior players missing.
“It is a difficult hole to try to fill.
“Their frustration has boiled over a little bit, and we need to settle it down.
“In terms of the Cabaye loss and Loic on top of that, it has made it difficult for us to create and dictate like we did prior to both of them being in the team.
“I can’t fault them.”
Ten senior players missing?
The French contingent are saving themselves for France's World Cup bid, and I cannot name seven others who would have made that team at Stoke on Saturday.
I cannot see what the local press have done wrong. We have been scathing of Pardew on this website since Christmas, yet the Chronicle/Sunday Sun/Journal have been very charitable towards a man who utters shit every time he opens his mouth.
