Alan Pardew: "Tim Krul has been great in all our games so far.
"He came and took a couple of big crosses today and they're a threat are Fulham, from set-plays, as they showed with the goal they scored, but we're very pleased for Tim.
"We've rotated the squad this week and we've come away with three wins. As a manager, you can't ask for more.
"We struggled in the first 20 minutes, I thought Fulham really took the sting out of us by retaining the ball and they had a threatening period in which we could have conceded.
"But we changed it a little bit and gained some momentum towards the end of the first-half and then by the start of the second-half I thought we deserved to be winning.
"We just lost a little bit of control at the end which was a shame.
"Joey would have given us a little bit more control today, we were always going to miss player like that, but we coped well today in the midfield.
"Danny Murphy was a problem for us every time he had the ball but we coped. At times, we bossed that area."
