Alan Pardew: “We discussed Tottenham and got it out the way.
“We talked about this game in particular because it is a dangerous game for us.
“It was an ill-disciplined performance from us. We need to put that right.
“It will be a game where the opposite dressing room will be trying to win it for Mick.
“He was brilliant for those players. I think that will be the cause, I don’t think they are going to get a manager in time now.
“It was a tough game at their place and they probably deserved a draw.
“For us we are at home and there will be a big home crowd on the back of a poor performance.
“We need a performance befitting of our league position.”
