Pardew: "We're the sort of club that is not in the bracket where we can dictate a transfer.
"We sometimes have to respond, because we are not in the position where we have got the luxuries of Tottenham or Liverpool.
"For us, we're poised waiting to see what happens, and we want to make sure we bring in one or two players that affect our first team.
"This is the big week where everything comes up. I do think there will be business this week across the board, and I certainly hope we're part of it.
"I think the situation with Yohan is an ongoing situation and we will take each day as it comes.
"There's been one bid and I've turned that down, and that's really all I'm going to comment on that today."
