The Newcastle United manager is about as welcome as a fart in a space suit at St James' Park and he knows he has the chance to go back to the place where he was once loved ... Crystal Palace.
He was a player who was well below average at Selhurst Park where his team mates were no better.
No honours as a player or manager, and he continued that at Newcastle.
A puppet to Mike Ashley, but he is set to get rid of his shackles and head to south London.
It is all rumour ... but trust us ... it's true!
And I tell you what ... it is the best news in years!
Who will we get?
Well he will be a "Yes Man" no doubt, but we have had that for four years, can it get any worse?
Pardew insisted that “exciting times” lie ahead for Newcastle United despite he is looking to leave.
Pardew, who won two awards for Barclays Manager of the Month and the LMA performance of the week for beating Chelsea, believes now is the time to leave Toon.
Pardew has now been at United for over four years and he is the third longest serving Premier League United boss after Sir Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan.
And although there have been ups and downs he feels that there have been some memorable times.
He said: “We’ve had some great times and beat a lot of great teams.
“We’ve had some success and got ourselves into Europe, finished fifth then got to the quarter-finals of the Europa League."
