Alan Pardew: “Haris is a tidy player. He’s been out so long, we’re just trying to introduce him gradually. He’s pushing and pushing.
“I’ll probably give him a game against Gateshead – we’ll take a strong team there.
“If our fans want to travel there, they’ll see mainly first-team squad members who need another game. Willo will possibly need to play again, because he looks a little bit match shy.
“It’ll be a decent side, and Haris will play in that.
“It’s going to be a stronger team, and the first-team staff will take it. It’ll be nice for Gateshead, and nice for our fans too.”
