James Perch: "It was a bit weird at first wearing a different jersey, but once I got into it, it was fine.
"I can play centre-half – I played there for the youth team (at Forest) – but obviously everyone knows I can play right back as well.
"So wherever I get selected, that's where I'll play. My versatility's a good thing for me, really.
"I want to test myself against the best, and what better club to do it for than Newcastle?
"It's been brilliant. We went away to Ireland, which everyone knows about, and it was good for the team and for me to get to know the lads.
"They've welcomed me with open arms, and it's been brilliant, to be fair.
"I can't wait. That's why I've come here. I've come to a massive club with great ambition and history.
"It's just about coming through the games and not getting an injury. That's the main thing."
