It will be Hughton’s first return to the club since he was controversially sacked in late 2010 just months afer guiding the club back into the Premier League.
Perch – who played under his assistant Colin Calderwood at Nottingham Forest – was signed by Hughton two years ago.
James Perch: “I know Chris will get a great reception, because he was magnificent here, and the fans didn’t want to see him go.
“He’s a great man, and he deserves whatever he’s getting now.
“I think Colin Calderwood had a big part to play in me coming here because I’d played under him at Forest.
“It’ll be good to see them, and the reception they get. I wish them all the best."
