Arsenal striker Lucas Perez could return to his old club Deportivo La Coruna this month as he seeks a move away from north London, amid links with a switch to Newcastle United.
Spanish media claim the 28-year-old forward's agent Rodrigo Fernández Lovelle has held talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger over a loan move for his client.
Perez joined Arsenal from Deportivo last summer in a £17m deal but has found appearances hard to come by.
Wenger admitted this week: “There is a possibility (of him going). I opened the door for him because we have many strikers.
“If he finds a good opportunity we will help him.”
Now Spanish media outlet La Voz de Galicia are claiming that Deportivo are confident of bringing the player back to Spain, although the report also claims any deal with have plenty of stipulations and clauses.
