Hughton had suggested the former Coventry City player could benefit from a loan spell in the Championship in the January transfer window, but Best will have none of it ... even if it means him sitting out his lucrative three and a half year contract in the reserves.
However ... Newcastle youngster Haris Vuckic admits he would be happy to go out on loan in order to gain valuable experience.
The 19-year-old forward is yet to force his way into the Magpies fold on a regular basis, with his first-team opportunities limited to the Carling Cup.
Haris Vuckic: "Nobody from the club has spoken to me about a possible loan, but of course I have heard the rumours.
"The truth is I would have no problem going out on loan, as long as I get more minutes to play.
"Even in the Championship there is good football and I think it could only be good for me if I were to play every week.
"But I will not complain if I end up staying at St James' Park. I have everything I need here.
"Training here is good and I am learning from extremely good players.
"Even if I were to leave for a loan spell, I would still want to return as I want to make my mark at this club."
