Newcastle youngster Andy Carroll was also involved. He returned in shame to Preston (where he is on loan) on Tuesday after being kicked out by England Under-19s.
Carroll and Chelsea starlets Scott Sinclair and Ryan Bertrand stayed out too late on Friday night after celebrating a 5-1 win over Iceland in Doncaster.
Player Sent To Sunderland As 'Punishment'!
The FA later stressed the trio's misdemeanor did not go beyond breaking the curfew.
Head coach Brian Eastick ordered the three to return home, even though his England side faced two more games in a Euro qualifying mini-tournament.
The former Newcastle coach and academy manager summoned Carroll, Sinclair and Bertrand to a disciplinary hearing at the team hotel before telling them to pack their bags.
In a short statement issued by the FA yesterday Eastick said: "I have found it necessary to send three players home for breaking our code of conduct.
"All the appropriate people have been informed and there will be not be further comment at this time."
It is unclear what the repercussions will be for Carroll and his two partners in crime with England lined up to face Germany in a friendly in Elversberg on November 14.
It is understood all three have apologised for their behaviour and they will be hoping the incident has not done any long-term damage to their international prospects.
Carroll has only just broken into the England reckoning after impressing as a substitute at Newcastle and doing well in the Championship with Preston - he is on loan at Deepdale until January as part of his footballing education.
The 18-year-old scored on his debut for the Under-19s in a 4-0 win over Belarus last month. And he was on target again in Friday night's 5-1 thrashing of Iceland at Doncaster's new Keepmoat Stadium, with flying winger Sinclair also finding the net.
Sinclair is now being lined up to spend time at Sunderland on loan, although the Londoners insist the possible move is not as a punishment for his England shame.
