He might have a superstar CV, but reputation alone will not immediately earn Grzegorz Krychowiak a starting berth on Gary Megson’s watch.
The Polish international, on loan from French superpower Paris Saint Germain, was dropped by Megson for the 1-1 draw at Spurs on Saturday.
It was the first time since joining the Baggies in August that Krychowiak, a two-time Europa League winner with Sevilla, had been benched.
“I don’t think the fact you have played for certain football clubs or what you have done in the past has any bearing on what is happening in the here and now,” Megson said.
