... former Stoke City boss Tony Pulis is in the frame to replace Alan Pardew as manager at Newcastle United.
Pulis's stock has risen again since taking the Crystal Palace in November and guiding the club from the bottom of the Premier League to mid-table.
But where does the story come from?
No quotes, nothing more than making a story out of nothing.
They claim the 56-year-old is now reported to be on Mike Ashley's wanted list at St James's Park.
But Ashley has not spoken a word since buying NUFC and I doubt very much if the People have access to him.
The Sunday People: "Ashley is a big fan of the straight-talking Welshman ... and is poised to change managers this summer with Pardew failing to deliver results and facing unrest in the dressing room and stands."
Pardew was told by the owner to finish in the top ten, or go, and he has achieved what Ashley asked of him.
Will Pardew go? Fingers crossed he will, but would Pulis leave Palace for Newcastle?
The man who takes over will have to be a "yes man", and nobosy can say that of Pulis.
