The Newcastle striker saved potential red faces for the Light Blues with a double that delivered a first win in Govan since the New Year.
It was against part-time Cowdenbeath, so let's not get carried away. A side probably on par in England with Scotswood WMC Reserve side.
But he found the back of the net - twice - so let's not pull the piss too much.
John Carver said "Playing for Rangers is a massive achievement." And I'm sure it was ... 20 years ago.
Nicky Clark’s opener should have made it a stroll for Stuart McCall’s side but Kudus Oyenuga levelled for Cowdenbeath before Darren
McGregor and Vuckic struck.
After a week when it was revealed the previous Gers board turned a blind eye to the condition of their loan signings, the Slovenian believes it’s mental fitness that is allowing his side to turn the corner.
Vuckic said: “There is a sense we have turned the corner after two great performances. It was a great 2-0 win over Hibs last week but this result was even more important.
“It’s even harder to play against them so this result was all about the attitude and we showed that.
“We created a lot of chances and the confidence has returned to the squad. We need to get as many points as we can from now until the end of the season.
“I feel fitter as I only played in Under-21 games and that’s not my level. The training has been harder, the tempo is higher and we are a
fitter side.
“There has been an attitude change and a motivation change with everyone working hard. The manager talks to us about a game plan and everyone follows it.
“The past is forgotten. We need to focus on the games we have left and we’ll see where we are at the end of the season.
“Our plan is to be second so we can avoid two extra games. The win over Hibs gave us a big motivation as we had lost three times against them but the motivation is now on our side.”
