The 26-year-old has been enjoying a very successful spell on loan at his former club, but will return to St James’ Park soon as the Blades Rob Ullathorne is expected to return to full fitness in the next couple of weeks.
After Quinn’s recent performances Warnock is keen to sign him on a permanent basis, but has admitted that it is unlikely to happen.
He told the club's official website: "Quinn has a year left on his Newcastle contract and we cannot talk of the financial package that he would require.
"We wouldn't be able to do anything unless we got in the Premiership. That's the only way we could afford him."
But with the Blades pushing hard for promotion it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.
