Liverpool are going into Sunday's Champions League final as strong favourites under Jurgen Klopp.
And Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez fancies Klopp to pick up his first Liverpool homour.
Benitez has told Radio MARCA that he thinks Jurgen Klopp is 'doing a great job' at Liverpool, believing that the Reds are there on their own merits.
Despite showing both great football and the grit to win, many pundits have suggested that Liverpool have been getting 'lucky' with decisions, especially offsides, whilst Mohamed Salah has been slammed for diving – and receiving little punishment.
However, ex-Reds boss Benitez has hailed Klopp for doing a 'great job' at Anfield, adding that Liverpool are in such a great position to beat Spurs on their own merits, despite that criticism.
“He is a clear candidate to win, they have the potential to do it,” said Benitez. “Klopp is doing a great job, they are there on their own merits,” he added.
