Newcastle United may be up for sale, but manager Rafa Benitez is not letting that affect him or his players ahead of their game with Crystal Palace tomorrow (Saturday).
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley had put the club up for sale and that there were "new and credible parties" interested in buying the Magpies.
But Benitez says he can do nothing about the off-field matters, adding that his sole focus is on getting three points against Palace at St James' Park.
"We have to focus on getting three points. This club has massive potential," he said.
"If we do well on the pitch, it is easier to attract people. I didn't hear any player talking about the sale.
"We just talk about football, and how to beat Crystal Palace.
"It changes nothing. We prepare for the game. We have to play Crystal Palace this weekend. It doesn't affect me."
And the former Liverpool manager says he expects a difficult test against Palace despite their lowly position in the table, with the Eagles currently still bottom of the table, even after beating champions Chelsea 2-1 at Selhurst Park last weekend.
"Crystal Palace create chances and have been unlucky with results," he said.
"It will be a difficult game - we have to try and put pressure on them."
