Spanish daily Marca say Real Sociedad are ‘set to hire’ Rafa Benitez as their new manager.
It’s suggested the Toon hero is firm favourite in Spain to take the reins at the Basque-based side.
When asked if he could return to Spain, Benitez said: “What I want is to be sure we are ready for the next game.
“After that we will look at the next game after that.”
I'm sure all the seculation puts Rafa in a good position to bargain with Mike Ashley for future transfer funds, because the last thing Fat Boy wants is for his manager to flee the Magpie's roost.
