The positive vibes were echoed by chairman Freddy Shepherd.
"I am very happy with the outcome," he declared.
"It could have been far worse given the quality of some of the unseeded teams in the draw. But that said, it won't be easy whoever we end up playing."
Officially NUFC won't be drawn into saying that progression into the group stages of the competition are a formality, but the official site does seem to be hedging their bets by listing the dates of the potential group games.
