"I've been told Feyenoord were the first team Newcastle played in Europe and Bobby will know all about them from his time in Holland," explained NUFC director of football Chris Milne after the draw.
"Juventus is the icing on the cake and Kiev are another top side. It's the next stage for us and we're looking forward to it."
Meanwhile manager Sir Bobby Robson has been speaking about his delight at reaching the group stage with the Toon, and has highlighted Kieron Dyer - who scored in both legs to reach the group stage - as the key man in the side.
"The Champions League will be a great stage for a lot of players, for all of them in fact, but particularly for Kieron," he said.
"He came to this club on merit but on a huge transfer for a young kid and it's taken him a while to adjust to it all.
"He's also had setbacks with injuries of course - his stress fractures and his muscle problems when he had to have an operation.
"But hopefully all that's gone for him now and he should look forward now to a brilliant career. He's got the world at his feet."
