And Massadio Haidara says his absence will be keenly felt by Brendan Rodgers’s side given his influence on the pitch this season.

“I think, without him, they will be a different team.
“He’s obviously the focal point for their attack. They do have other quality players as well, but if he isn’t playing, that will definitely be a positive thing for us.
“The Premiership is a completely different style of game.
“In France, it’s a lot more tactical and defensively-focused.
“Here in the Premier League, it’s a lot more attacking. It’s a box-to-box style of play.
“The focus is really on moving forward. Playing game after game, I’m getting a lot more used to that.”
