Ex-Newcastle United man Yohan Cabaye was delighted to record a brilliant victory at the Magpies' fiercest rivals Sunderland for Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Frenchman witnessed a stunning comeback from 2-0 down, which saw Joe Ledley, James McArthur and Christian Benteke produce the goods for the visitors.
Cabaye was booed throughout the game at the Stadium of Light for his time at Newcastle – but the 30-year-old had the last laugh.
"Of course, it's always special for me to come to the Stadium of Light – especially to win," Cabaye told the Advertiser.
"I have got a good respect for Sunderland but the last time I won there it was my second game with Newcastle.
"It was just good come here and win. In the first half we played well and we had chances - at 2-0 down it was looking hard for us and we deserved more than that.
"But we didn't give up and kept trying to score. Thankfully, we got the rewards."
