"This club has not been able to take the next step in the past," said Robson today.
"It came very close under Kevin Keegan but just lost its momentum a bit.
"But now we are on the edge of achieving something quite remarkable again and we have just got to be sure we can do it. That is what I'm aiming for.
"I've got no plans to quit just yet. We've got 14 players aged 22 or 23 and they are only going to get better. I want to be here to see them do it.
"We are on the edge of being in with the big boys. That is where we want to be and what we are trying to achieve. Breaking into that top three is the next step."
