Roeder Gets Reward From Crisis
23-year-old Peter Ramage was by far the oldest man in defence against Bolton, as he lined up alongside 20-year-old Steven Taylor, Paul Huntington and fellow 19-year-old David Edgar.
Roeder: "Over the last few games, I have had to play Paul Huntington, who was probably put into the team a little bit sooner than I thought I would have to or want to.

"It is always a concern when you put a young player in, that he does not have a bad experience.
"To put him in for his first game against Chelsea was a hell of a risk, but all credit to Paul, he came through with flying colours and has done that since as well.
"It looks as if we have now got another addition to the squad who knows if we need to use him, we can.
"He will not expect to play every game until the end of the season, but at least he knows now and I know now if I need him, he can put on a performance to the level that is required here.
"He has just turned 19, but he lives and breathes the game. He is a clean-living lad - I do not see any reason why he should not just get better and better over the next couple of years.
"But let's not hype him up, let's not put him under any pressure, just let him go out and enjoy himself.
"I will sit down with David and go through his game on the video. Although he was disappointed about losing the match, he is quite pleased he has now made his debut for Newcastle."
