1-0 would suit the big man every game, if it was possible. Which seems to be the way Manchester United are playing these days.
However ... 1-0 is not what Cristiano Ronaldo and Rio Ferdinand want. The Manchester United pair claim they still have two gears to go, and then we will see the Red Devils back to their entertaining best.
Despite trailing Arsenal by two points having played a game more, Man United are 6-4 favourites for the title, with Gunners 2-1. Liverpool are 11-4 and Chelsea 6-1.
Newcastle are fifth favourites as 250/1 outsiders. Hardly what we want, but the bookies obviously fancy us for a UEFA Cup spot.
Cristiano Ronaldo: "Maybe you are not seeing the best of us at the moment but the most important thing is to win.
Sam Wants To Do It 'The Man Utd Way'
"These are still the first few games of the season and we have a lot of time to improve."
Rio Ferdinand: "I think we can improve because we are still not playing free-flowing football.
"In stages we are doing it but we are not doing it as consistently as we would like throughout games.
"We are gradually getting there. I think we showed against Chelsea last week some very good moments in the first 30 minutes and at Birmingham we did it again in spells.
"If we can keep adding to what we are doing at the moment, and keep clean sheets, we've got the players who can unlock any defence. We can only get better."
